Feed

In the production of animal feed, it is important to take into account the digestibility and particle size of the feed. Each animal species consumes and processes feed in a different way.

One of the most common ways is to feed animals with pelleted feed.  Pelleted feed has many advantages. One of the advantages of the pelleted feed is that it can be produced in the required (particle) size. Another advantage is that the concentrated form of a pellet is that it contains more nutritional value and it is easier to digest.

Good quality pellets improve the feeding efficiency, performance, growth, and uniformity of animals.  Other benefits are the reduced waste, less segregation in the feed, improved palatability and short eating periods.

The nutritional and digestible value is not only determined by the process of the feed in a pellet press. The treatment process before and after the pelleting line has just as much influence on the quality of the pelleted feed.
